Terms of Service

1. Enrollment Agreement

This enrollment agreement is a contract between the Center for Business Acceleration (CBA) and learners enrolled in CBA education programs, including the VA Accelerator™ pathway where applicable. It describes the responsibilities of both parties.

2. Program Information

CBA Education Programs

CBA provides practical workforce education in organizational resilience, enterprise risk management, business continuity, risk analytics, leadership, and related professional development. Programs may be delivered online with defined learning activities, assessments, and learner-support interactions.

Program Features

• Distance Education: Courses and programs completed through online access
• Program Hours: Published estimated learning hours / program hours for each offering (not transferable academic credit unless separately documented)
• CBA Education Certificates: Certificates of successful program completion may be awarded when published requisites are met
• Open Enrollment: Many public programs allow individual enrollment when offered
• Flexible Online Learning: Learners progress within published participation, assessment, and completion requirements

Program Authority

CBA retains authority over CBA program-completion and education-certificate decisions, including assessment outcomes for CBA programs.

3. Prerequisites

Prerequisites and learner-readiness expectations are published for each program before enrollment. Where a pathway requires a foundational module (for example, a proficiency / readiness bench for veterans), that requirement must be completed before later courses in the pathway.

Transfer of Outside Credits

CBA does not generally accept transfer of outside academic credits into CBA certificate programs. Program hours and completion decisions are based on CBA program requirements.

4. Tuition and Funding

VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)

Eligible veterans may receive authorization or funding for CBA education through VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E), subject to individual eligibility, counselor authorization, and current VA requirements. References to VA or VR&E are for identification of a possible funding pathway and do not imply VA ownership, sponsorship, or endorsement of CBA.

Eligibility

Veterans seeking VR&E-supported participation must meet applicable VA eligibility requirements and obtain any required counselor approval before enrollment benefits apply.

Tuition Coverage

When a learner is authorized for covered CBA education under VR&E (or another documented funding source), tuition may be paid or waived according to that authorization. Coverage is not automatic and depends on the learner's approved authorization and current program rules.

5. Cancellation Policy

Access to Materials

After enrollment is completed, learners typically receive access to program materials according to the applicable enrollment agreement and program rules.

Cancellation Requests

Learners who wish to cancel should submit a cancellation request through the Contact page. Eligibility for cancellation or refund depends on the enrollment agreement, funding rules (including any VA/VR&E requirements), and the timing of the request.

Program Duration

Expected completion windows and participation requirements are published for each program. Learners should complete required activities within the stated window unless an approved extension or pause applies.

6. Learner Obligations

Academic Integrity

• Complete required course materials honestly and to the best of your ability
• Maintain academic honesty and integrity
• Follow published program guidelines and policies

Program Completion

• Complete required learning activities within published timeframes
• Meet all program and certificate requirements
• Maintain satisfactory progress as defined for the program

Use of CBA Education Certificates

• Represent a CBA education certificate accurately and only for the program scope it documents
• Do not claim to be a CBA certificate holder if enrollment was cancelled before requirements were met
• Do not use a CBA education certificate in a misleading way or in a manner that discredits CBA
• Do not imply that a CBA education certificate is an IRRCB professional certification or other third-party credential

7. Institution Obligations

The Center for Business Acceleration (CBA) maintains the following obligations:

• Quality Programs: Provide practical education in risk, resilience, business continuity, analytics, leadership, and workforce readiness at fair and reasonable costs
• Policy Adherence: Uphold published cancellation, tuition, and learner policies
• Material Maintenance: Maintain educational and instructional materials for quality and usability, including technological aspects of delivery
• Fair Treatment: Treat each learner fairly and impartially, regardless of affiliation, race, religion, creed, ethnicity, gender, or other protected characteristics

8. Certificates and Professional Certification

A CBA education certificate documents successful completion of a defined CBA education program and assessment requirements. It is not a time-limited professional certification and does not require recertification merely to remain valid during any published certificate term.

Professional certifications referenced on the CBA website (including IRRCB pathways) are administered independently by the International Risk & Resilience Certification Board (IRRCB) or other identified certification bodies. Completion of CBA education does not confer or guarantee IRRCB certification.

CBA may correct or revoke an education certificate only when the original award was improper—for example due to fraud, identity misrepresentation, academic misconduct affecting program requisites, or administrative/scoring error.
