Our Roots: Education, Veterans, and Opportunity
CBA's roots are connected to a longstanding commitment to veterans — including veterans with disabilities — who are transitioning to civilian careers, entrepreneurship, and new forms of professional service.
The VA Accelerator™ grew from earlier work focused on giving veterans access to practical business, career, and workforce education. That commitment helped shape CBA's broader belief that capable people should not be held back by a lack of access to relevant education.
As workforce needs evolved, CBA expanded into organizational resilience, enterprise risk management, business continuity, analytics, leadership, and other capabilities that help people and organizations navigate disruption.
The subjects have evolved. The purpose has not: remove barriers to learning and help people build stronger futures.

Completion of a CBA program does not confer or guarantee IRRCB certification.
Our Nonprofit Structure
CBA operates under About Giving, Inc., its parent 501(c)(3) public charity. CBA maintains its own EIN and carries out its education and workforce-development mission through the About Giving nonprofit structure.
This structure allows CBA to combine practical education with a charitable commitment to expanding access for veterans and other learners who can benefit from workforce-development opportunities.
